Join our small group adventure to the heart of the Argentine Altiplano, where nature and geology come together to create unforgettable landscapes. The tour departs daily and takes you to one of the most extraordinary destinations in the region: the Salar Grande, a vast salt flat shared by the provinces of Salta and Jujuy.

Located at an altitude of 3,450 meters, this ancient salt basin spans over 200 km² and was formed millions of years ago through volcanic activity and the evaporation of mineral-rich waters. Today, the Salar Grande dazzles with its endless white crust and surreal atmosphere, offering incredible photo opportunities and a glimpse into traditional salt harvesting methods.

After exploring the salt flats, the tour descends the winding Cuesta de Lipán, a scenic mountain road where you’ll have the chance to spot majestic Andean condors soaring overhead.

The journey continues to the charming village of Purmamarca, nestled at the foot of the famous Hill of Seven Colors — a geological wonder painted in vibrant mineral layers. With its adobe houses, local artisans, and mountain backdrop, Purmamarca is the perfect place to relax before returning to Salta.
