Itinerary

  • Our private driver will meet you at the door of your hotel or apartment to begin the journey to the western zone of Rio
  • Drive to Barra de Guaratiba (approx. 1h 15min): Enjoy a quiet, comfortable drive through Rio as the city sleeps. Upon arrival at the trail entrance, you’ll meet your local hiking guide (optional)
  • Hike to Pedra do Telégrafo (40–60 min):
    Begin the moderate hike up a forested path within a protected natural area. The trail is surrounded by Atlantic rainforest and offers occasional glimpses of the ocean
  • Sunrise at the Summit: Arrive at the top in time for sunrise. From here, you’ll have an incredible panoramic view of:
     
    • Restinga da Marambaia
    • Praia do Perigoso
    • Praia do Grumari
    • The distant silhouette of Rio’s coastline.
  • Iconic Photos at the “Cliff” Spot: Take your turn for the famous photo that gives the illusion of hanging off a cliff — it’s totally safe, and there’s someone to help take your pictures.
    Optional: Snack break or local fruit vendors (not included) At the summit or along the trail, you may find locals offering fresh fruit or coconut water.
  • Hike back down & return drive: After enjoying the view and resting a bit, we descend and return to the vehicle
