The Argentine Experience is an interactive and exclusive gastronomic experience that invites visitors to discover the best of Argentine cuisine and culture in a fun, educational, and memorable way. Operating since 2011 and a Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards winner (2024), it was specially created for international tourists, private groups, and corporate events — an ideal option to complement any itinerary in Buenos Aires. Located in Palermo, the restaurant offers four distinct experiences, each tailored to a different moment of the day and a different kind of traveler:
Premium Cooking Class — The full hands-on experience, running approximately 3 hours from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. You’ll cook with your own hands using the finest local ingredients, guided step by step by an expert chef: prepare empanadas and chipa from scratch, then sit down to a main course of beef with Malbec sauce, Andean potatoes and fresh salad, finishing with flan and dulce de leche, all paired with specially selected local wines. Ideal for those who want the complete cooking-and-dining journey.
Short Cooking Class — A fast, fun and flavor-packed 90-minute format for food lovers short on time, with three daily start times (11:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM). You’ll get hands-on with Argentina’s most iconic bites — empanadas and chipa from scratch — plus a yerba mate workshop and an alfajor-making class with dulce de leche. Perfect as a lighter introduction when time is limited.
Wine Cocktail Experience — A 1-hour interactive session from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, focused on Argentine wine through creative cocktail making. Under the guidance of an expert host, you’ll prepare two different wine-based cocktails while exploring the characteristics, flavors and versatility of Argentina’s most iconic wines. A relaxed, social experience that pairs well before a dinner plan.
Dinner Experience — The flagship evening event: an incredible 14-step interactive dinner running from 8:00 PM to 10:30 PM, where you’ll taste Argentina’s finest flavors and help prepare some of the dishes yourself. The journey moves from a Patagonian trout tartar welcome through a hands-on empanada and chimichurri session, savory courses, an Argentine sausage tasting, a beef tasting featuring the slow-cooked “Thor’s Hammer” stew, a dessert tasting and a closing mate and alfajor class — with each step paired across five exceptional wines.
